Jay Greenberg,
principal
Utilizing the institutional experience gained from larger New York City-based real estate firms, Jay formed what is now known as Z+G Property Group in 2014 to own, operate and manage multi-family and mixed-use properties in the New York City area. The company now owns a portfolio of over 25 buildings that have all been acquired in the past 10 years all within NYC and Charleston, SC. His philosophy of using relationships to source off‐market or quietly marketed assets and value-add strategies to deliver above average returns is paramount to every transaction.
Prior to forming Z+G Property Group, Jay was a key member of Stonehenge Partners’ acquisition team which during his tenure purchased 11 multi‐family and mixed use properties in New York City totaling over $500 million. Stonehenge Partners is a leading private real estate company that owns and manages a portfolio of properties in Manhattan valued at over $2 billion.
Jay began his career at Tri‐Realty Management, a private‐equity real estate firm that owns, manages and operates commercial properties in New York City, New Jersey, Florida, Kentucky and Chicago. While at Tri‐Realty, Jay managed the 200-unit condominium conversion of 254 Park Avenue South.
Jay received his Masters of Science in Real Estate, with a concentration in Finance, from New York University as well as a Bachelors of Science from the University of Maryland. He currently lives in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn with his wife and three children.
